Product Review – Nature’s Variety Instinct Raw Boost Minis

Disclaimer: We got these treats free from chewy.com to taste test. All opinions are our own. No one can make us eat something we don’t want to eat!

Happy Sunday everyone. We’ve been having fake summer here, but I’ve been enjoying it. I had a stroller ride last Saturday and again yesterday. Today – winter is back and it’s snowing.

20150214_160500-001Chewy.com sent us a new treat to try. It was Nature’s Variety Instinct Raw Boost Minis. We got the duck formula cuz EK is partial to duck. Sorry George.

Mom looked at the picture and thought it was just freeze dried duck. Well, it isn’t. There’s all kinds of other stuff in there: Duck (Including Ground Duck Bone), Turkey, Turkey Liver, Turkey Heart, Pumpkinseeds, Apples, Carrots, Butternut Squash, Ground Flaxseed, Montmorillonite Clay, Broccoli, Lettuce, Spinach, Dried Kelp, Apple Cider Vinegar, Parsley, Honey, Salmon Oil, Mixed Tocopherols, Olive Oil, Rosemary Extract, Blueberries, Alfalfa Sprouts, Persimmons, Inulin, Rosemary, Sage, Clove. Mom’s not sure about some of the ingredients. She doesn’t think we need all that stuff, especially the clay, and the spices. She’s also trying to keep us pretty much fish free and these have salmon oil. But she’s feeding them to us anyway.

Here’s what we think of them:

20150214_160541-001Notice who’s missing from the picture? Once again, it’s EK. Mom could have gotten our favorite flavor, chicken. But no, she got duck to see if EK would eat them. We should just give up on treats for EK. He doesn’t like any of them.

So that’s our review of Nature’s Variety Instinct Raw Boost Minis. We girls love ’em. EK won’t eat them. Mom’s not sure about some of the ingredients. So even though we girls like them, Mom doesn’t think she’ll be buying them.

That’s it for today. Have a great week everyone!

  1. Thanks for that honest review. We’re gonna be reviewing these treats too. Wally is the finicky treat eater around here, so it should be interesting what he thinks of them.

    1. Your mom knows a lot more than mine about kitty nutrition. She’s comfortable with all the ingredients, even the clay? Maybe I can talk mom into buying more of these cuz I really like them. But she has to get chicken flavor!
