Happy New Year everyone! I hope the new year brings you health, happiness, and all good things.
Speaking of health, today I’m gonna talk about a not very pleasant topic – poop! That’s right – poop. A cat’s poop can tell you a lot about the cat’s health. What’s that got to do with a product review? Our November product for testing from Chewy.com was Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets FortiFlora Probiotic Cat Supplement. Mom was real excited to see that available. You see, we have a problem kitty – EK. His poop is like soup! (like my rhyme?)
He’s been to the vet and the vet said nothing’s wrong with him. He’s not sick, he doesn’t have worms, there’s nothing the vet could find. We’ve tried pumpkin, sweet potato, a limited ingredient diet with a different protein source, and more wet food and less dry food. We tried a raw diet, but no one would eat it. Mom knew FortiFlora is supposed to be good for kitty tummies, so we decided that should be our November test item.
FortiFlora doesn’t work right away, so that’s part of why this review is so late. We wanted EK to have it for a while before I wrote the review. Well, it’s helped a little. Between the FortiFlora and the limited ingredient diet, EK’s poop has gone from soup to still too soft but it now has a poop shape. Maybe we haven’t found the right protein source yet.
That’s it for today. I’m way behind on reviews so I’ve got two more coming up for you over the next week or so. Happy New Year!
Disclaimer – we received the FortiFlora for free from Chewy.com to review. We received no other compensation and as always, our opinion is strictly our own.
Happy Sunday everyone. I think mother nature is very confused. It’s the end of October and it’s 80F! It’s supposed to stay nice for another 2 weeks. We’ve had a whole extra month of open windows this year and it looks like we get to leave them open for another 2 weeks.
Chewy.com sent us another winner to taste test. It’s Solid Gold Purrfect Pairings Savory Mousse with Chicken & Goat Milk Grain-Free Cat Food Cups. It’s made with lots of good stuff, but make sure you read the ingredients. Mom didn’t read them properly, so she didn’t know the Chicken Flavor had tuna in it, and she doesn’t usually feed us fish.
It comes in lots of varieties – Chicken, Chicken & Liver, Tuna, Whitefish, Salmon, and Shrimp. Mom just checked the Chicken & Liver, and it also has tuna in it. So if you’re not feeding your kitties fish, you’ll want to pass on this one.
Anyway, as always, the big test is will we eat it. Here’s the answer to that one!Our plates were spotless when we were done. Maybe mom should rethink the no fish thing.
That’s it for me today. I’m gonna go find a sunpuddle to nap in. Have a great week everyone!

Happy Sunday everyone! We’re having pawsome fall weather and lots of open windows to sniff at.
I’ve got another review for you of a product from Chewy.com. I love doing reviews for them – we don’t always like what we test, but it’s always interesting to try something new. This time we got to try Stella & Chewy’s Duck Duck Goose Dinner Freeze-Dried Cat Food.
It contains all kinds of good stuff like duck and turkey. It’s also got some stuff I can’t pronounce, but mom didn’t seem too worried about any of those things.
They recommend that you mix the morsels with water to serve it as dinner. So that’s what we tried first. Here’s how that went:
As you can see, most of it’s still left in the dish. Mom left it down for a while and we eventually ate it all, but Mom’s not sure which of us actually ate it.
So then we tried them dry as a treat. Mom shredded up the morsels so we could eat them in tiny pieces. Our reaction – nommy! We all three just love them as treats.
So we didn’t like Stella & Chewy’s Duck Duck Goose Dinner Freeze-Dried Cat Food wet for dinner, but we love it dry for treats! Maybe we should try it wet again now that we’re used to the flavor.
That’s it for today. Have a great week everyone!
