Happy holidays everyone! It’s been very cold here this week. I hope it gets warmer soon. Average winter temps here are usually in the 40s, not the 20s. At least the furnace works now, so we’re nice and toasty in the house. (For those who didn’t see my FB post, our furnace broke a couple weeks ago, but it’s fine now.) And to help me stay warm, I’ve been cuddling with my stuffy pals. The basket is right by the hot air blowy thing. Purrfect for staying warm.
We have the furry best furriends. Look at all the pawsome cards we got!I didn’t get to send out cards this year, but maybe next year I’ll be more organized so I can at least do an ecard if I don’t get to do a real one.
Poor EK had to go to the vet yesterday for a checkup. He always goes in his Sleepy Pod. He feels much safer in it and doesn’t stress as much. Our old vet moved so EK went to see a new vet today – Dr. Terry Fujinama at Adams County Animal Hospital. EK loved the new vet! He was the most relaxed he’s ever been at the vet. He purred, stretched his neck out for skritches, and even stuck the top of his head into the vet’s face for kisses! Of course, Dr. Fujinama didn’t know EK was asking for kisses, but he was. Mom’s never seen EK take to anyone except her like that! She was shocked and thrilled. EK was so not stressed out that he was quiet all the way home. That never happens. He usually sings the song of his people at the top of his little lungs. Candy and I haven’t met the new vet yet, but if EK likes him this much, I’m sure we will too!
That’s it for today. Tomorrow starts the new year, and I hope it brings nothing but good things to everyone! Happy New Year!
