Last Saturday Mom took me to Golden, Colorado. We were supposed to meet mom’s friend in Clear Creek History Park but mom doesn’t know her way around Golden and we wound up in a different park. There was a festival going on – Buffalo Bill Days. The traffic was awful and mom was lost. She found a parking space next to a little park that she thought was it but it wasn’t. Turned out to be ok because mom’s friend gave up in the traffic and just went home. If we’d gone to the correct park we’d have been in worse traffic and not found a space at all!
We also wouldn’t have found a cool pet store that we found by accident cuz mom was looking for a people litter box. MOL It’s called Golden Mill Country Store. It caters not so much to cats and dogs and small animals like most pet stores, but more to horses. I’d never seen a pet store for horses before. They also had chicks for sale! Look how cool this place is.
Stuff for people who ride…
and for kitties…
and for kids!
Of course, we got a bag of treats for me while we were there. They were nommy!
From the pet store we went back to the park and walked around a bit. There was another park a couple of blocks away were the festival was happening, so we walked over there to check it out. It was too crowded and noisy for us to enjoy so we went back to the little park. There was a creek there and a path that ran along it for quite a distance so we followed the path for a while. It’s a great place to walk and we enjoyed watching all the people playing in the creek. There were kayakers and people floating down on all kinds of inflatables. People were swimming or wading and just having a good time.
Let me out! I wanna walk around.
Or do I?
Grass looks good.
Yup. I’m out.
Lots of new smells.
Off to explore!
Enjoying the water on a hot day.
A gargoyle! Didn’t expect to see that.
Now you’d think that would be enough excitement for one day, but no. Before we went home, we stopped at another pet store to pick up some litter. I saw birds and ferrets at the pet store. The ferrets were really cute.
So that was my day in Golden. It’s a nice little town and I hope I get a chance to back soon. That’s it for today. Have a great week everyone!
Happy Sunday everyone! First, I want to thank everyone for their paw prayers for Mom’s back. She’s feeling much better now, but still has to watch her computer time. There’s something about her chair or the table height that makes her sit funny and makes her back hurt. She’s working on a more ergonomic setup, but in the meantime, I’ll be using her tablet more for twitter. I type very slowly on the tablet, so you’ll have to bear with me.
Now to the good stuff! As you know, this past Wednesday was my third Gotcha Day. Since that was a workday and last Sunday the weather was so purrfect, we went to Eldorado Canyon State Park. There’s a wheelchair path there that Mom thought would be good for the stroller. It has a great view of the canyon. Aside from pawsome scenery, we saw lots of people rock-climbing. That looked kind of fun, so when we went to the picnic area for brunch I decided to do some rock-climbing, too.
We were down by the creek edge and there were tons of nice crunchy leaves to play with. I didn’t realize the I was so close to the water because of all the leaves. I was just playing with them and having so much fun I stepped right in the water and got my paws wet! I backed out really quick and was trying to shake the water off my paws. Mom just stood there laughing and laughing at me! *shakes head* So here are the pictures from my trip.
Now for the part you’ve all been waiting for – the Tillman Skateboard Deck Giveaway! I won this cool skateboard deck from the pawsome people at Natural Balance at the last Blogpaws. That’s it for today everyone. Have a great week! *hugs*
I’ve been having the best birthday ever! First, @Edgardakitty came to stay for a whole month. Then, I got a new harness and leash. I got a pawsome birthday present from my #1 mancat, Henry Thomas Stockman. And today, I got to go to my favorite park. I got lots of pictures to show you.
Last night my birthday present came from my boyfriendcat, Henry (@quadpawd). He sent pawsome, custome decorated cookies from Lainey’s Pawtique & Bakery. Look how fantastic these are.
Thanks sweetie for the wonderful surprise!
But the best part of everything was going to my favorite park with Edgar. There’s 2 groups of pictures. Clicking on the pictures shows page one of them, then you have to switch to page two to see the rest!
To top things off we’ve got #nipclub monthly this weekend and that’s always a blast.
It’s EK’s birthday too (he’s two), but he didn’t get anything special. I’m sharing my cookies with him. We pretty much all share everything. Except I’m not gonna share Henry with Candy! MOL
That’s all for today everyone. Have a great week everybody!
