Product Review: The Natural Pet Company Feather Toy Megapack

20131108_173455Happy Sunday everyone! I got another goody to review for you. This time it’s the Feather Toy Megapack from The Natural Pet Company.

When The Natural Pet Company emailed me and asked if I wanted to test this, I just had to say yes. We love feathers and we love wands. What could be better than feathers on a wand?

20131108_173522You might look at this and think, well that’s just like all the other feather toys on the market. And you’d sort of be right. They’re about the same price, but the Feather Toy Megapack comes with three different feather attachments, not just one. Also, the feathers seem a little denser and sturdier than the others. With a destructo boy by the name of EK trashing all our feather toys, we were hoping it would hold up better. And it did.

So far we’ve only tried one of the feather attachments. We went crazy playing with it. Even Candy enjoyed it, and she usually won’t play with wand toys. I have a video I tried to post, but it just won’t process.

These aren’t the best pics in the world, but here are pics of us playing with it.

For some reason, the string keeps getting all twisted up and mom has to untwist it. Also, the feather attachment keeps flipping upside-down and the string gets caught in the feathers. So it does have a downside. But the feathers are holding up to destructo boy quite well. Considering it’s only $9.99 right now on Amazon, it’s worth the price. It would make a good holiday present for your kitties.

So that’s it for today. I got some more reviews coming, so I might do a Wednesday post. Don’t forget to enter the drawing for the Fancy Feast ornament. The odds are looking good right now for anyone who enters. So far, I don’t have anywhere near 20 entries and there are 20 ornaments to give away.

Have a great week everyone!

Product Review – The Natural Pet Company 100% Natural Catnip

DSCN4596Happy Sunday everyone. A few weeks ago I reviewed some toys from The Natural Pet Company. Today I’m going to review the 100% Natural Catnip that was in the same package.

We’re not the biggest fans of catnip in this house. Catnip stuffed toys tend to be ignored. EK has no use for catnip at all. We girls are hit or miss. Mom sprinkled some catnip on the floor to see how we’d like it. EK never even sniffed at it. Candy sniffed and it and that was about it. I put in the link to the videos because the embedded ones don’t seem to be working properly.

I quite liked it and rolled around in it for a while.

Mom liked that it’s 100% natural. And at $11.99 for 4 oz, it’s significantly less expensive than some of the other premium catnip out there. The packaging seals up quite well. You can’t smell the catnip through the packaging, so I’m assuming that also means that air isn’t getting in the package so the catnip stays pretty fresh in there.

So in this house, the catnip gets a thumbs up from Mom and 4 paws up from the one kitty here that likes catnip – me! I think if you’re kitty is one that likes catnip, s/he’ll like The Natural Pet Company 100% Natural Catnip.

We’re having a beautiful sunny day today, so I’m hoping for some leash time outside. Have a great week everyone!

Product Review – The Natural Pet Company Cat Toys

Happy Sunday everyone! We’ve had lots of excitement around here the last few weeks, so I’m really behind on blogging cuz I took a couple weeks off. I’ll fill you in on the excitement in the coming weeks. But for this week I have a long overdue product review for you.

DSCN4596We got the opportunity to review cat toys from The Natural Pet Company. We’ve had them for a while now, so we’ve tested them out pretty thoroughly. We also got Catnip, but we’ll review that another day.

The toys are made from natural materials to be less harmful to the environment, as well as better for us! Mom liked that about the toys. I’m a cat. I don’t know about that stuff. I just know if a toy is fun or not. So here’s how the toys went over in our house.

This wicker balls with the ribbons were a hit with Candy and EK. I examined one, but didn’t find it furry interesting. Mom almost stepped on one. Good thing she felt it and didn’t put her full weight on it cuz it would have squished. These toys stand up well to kitty play, but not to clumsy humans.DSCN4598DSCN4597The wand toy was a bigger hit, but wand toys are a favorite in this house. And anything with fevvers is a sure thing! The mousie’s body was nice sturdy fabric and good for nomming and bunny kicking.

We took the wand mousie with us when we visited Auntie Kirsten. Her kitties, who don’t usually like toys, liked the fevver butt mousie on the wand so much we made them a present of it!

There was also a raffia mousie in the package, but no one plays with it.DSCN4601So to wrap up – The fevver butt mousie wand toy was the biggest hit! The balls with the ribbons were a hit with Candy & EK, but they seem kind of fragile. The raffia mouse was a miss. But at $12.88 for the whole package, it’s worth getting just for the wand toy. We’ll review the catnip in a few weeks, but first we have to fill you in on all the excitements the last few weeks.

Have a great week everyone!
